Hi All I want to update my firmware on my Audi A7 S Line (2012) 4G model. I tried to get someone to enable the green menu through VCDS but they were not able to do it. I also tried to enable it via the script - no luck. I want to update the MMI Firmware and also get the latest 2018 Maps.

A6 (C7 Platform) Discussion - Can't get Hidden Menu to display with VAG - So I've searched all over, but can't find anyone that seems to have gotten the Hidden Menu to display on a 2012 A6 (which lacks the Setup button referenced in other threads. I enabled the hidden / diagnostic menu using VCDS, but the menu does
Press and hold buttons SETUP and CAR. After couple of seconds hidden green menu will appear. You can now release the buttons. Navigate to DIAG SETTINGS → HU CODIERUNG → STANDBY-BILD. Choose one of 5 options available. 0 – standard MMI screen. 1 – Audi S6 logo. 2 – Audi S5 logo. 3 – Audi RS6 logo.

Start your car and let the MMI boot up for 2-3 mins. Insert the SD card into SD1 slot. You will see some sort of german text scroll. Rotate the big knob on the console. The message will go away. Hello, i´m trying to retrofit the MMi 3G to my Basic Plus A6 4F. I got the Gateway 4L0 907 468 B with Software 4L0 910 468 A and flashed on 0071. I connected everything right but the MMI 3g cannot be operated. the control panel does not light up and does not respond to any command. the MMI headunit unit cannot be reached via vcds, but the Audi MMI hidden green menu gives you access to lots of interesting settings, features and diagnostic data. Audi A6 C7 4G (2011-), Audi A8 D3 (2002-2009), Audi Q7 Audi MMI MIB2 firmware update – procedure. Format SD card with FAT 32 file system, small allocation size. Unzip 3663 AIO package. Copy extracted update to the SD card. Turn the engine on and make sure keyless key will stay in the vehicle during the procedure. Restore factory settings in Audi MMI system. Place the card in SD1 port.

As morski says, you can activate the interior lighting menu via VCDS & MMI hidden menu - see the VCDS tricks thread. This will allow you to adjust the brightness of the footwell lights while driving. If you have the lighting pack it will illuminate the door trims as well. The original lighting options were:
